New Years ramble!

Ok so it's a new year... And mine started off great! I have come full circle. I truly am right where I am supposed to be! It feels amazing. I ended 2010 with running 10k (6.2 miles) I cannot even express the feeling accomplishing that gave me...I mean it just blows my mind that a few short months ago I couldn't run half a mile. I am proud of me. 2011 started just perfect...could not be happier. I've learned a lot over the last 12 months....everything happens for a reason, I would not change one thing about me (good/bad) it makes me who I am, live and learn from your mistakes...don't repeat them...and most importantly let go of toxic shit in your life. It sets you free! I know this is one of my less humorous posts but I've been thru a lot and it's been life changing. So *cheers* to an amazing year ahead! I know mines gonna be everything I want it to be! I plan on running a 5k...10k...half marathon and ultimately the NYCM.....and get really fit in the process :P 2011...bring it!!!!!!!

Ok so as I said I am training to run a marathon...those very words make me giggle. I'm no athlete that's for sure! Monday I hit a goal...I ran 5 miles without stopping to walk...I'm slow as a turtle but HOLLA! I did it! And I did it again today! Suddenly I feel like he'll yeah Ima gonna run that marathon baby...eat my dust *crying* ok I guess I should run a 5k first huh! Off to look for one of them things :P

Ok so today some magazine im "friends" with on FB has a bunch of informative status updates...ie: Don't wear skirts over the knee over the age of 35. WHA???????????? Excuse me...that is just WRONG! I mean...I say wear the fckis skirt if you feel beautiful in the damn thing...who says 35 is when you turn into a fckn shrivled up long skirt wearin prairie farmer??? I will continue to wear my short skirts as long as I feel sexy in said skirt...RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN...

Ha ha! My brain just isn't working this morning so no title for you! I felt compelled to blog about the love of my life...my iPhone! Hehe!!! Honestly the thing is by my side 24/7 . It connects me to my favorite people all across the country.. New friends...old friends and old new friends! Everybody should have a smartphone! Ok don't laugh your ass off but yeah I got some strong desire to run a marathon *crying* but really I want to do so and I will because it's who I am! Granted so far the furthest I've ran without stopping was 3.5 miles but this was HUGE as I couldn't get off my street on day one without resting. I shall perservere and get my run on! I think a marathon is 26.2 miles??? Not sure but one day I will run one!!!! If there's one thing I've learned in life it's all you gotta do is want it and it's yours...how about that...good stuff! Now go get your wants!!!!!! :P

Over the last month I have really thought about those words I'm thankful... I mean it's easy to toss out things such as I'm thankful for my health, my family and my friends but after really pondering it what I'm thankful for the most are the things in life we can't touch or feel...those are the most beautiful of all. They are a gift :) so as you go forth and eat way too much food tomorrow sit back and think of those things ....and smile :) happy Turkey day!

2 Trees and a blizzard in a pear tree..

OH shit is that not the biggest cheeseball blog entry title EVA!!!!!!!!! I gotta leave it..it's beyond cheese :) Anyhow we have two Christmas trees this year...my thought here was instead of my guy bringing home one ENORMOUS tree (hate that) always looks bald and just well...fra fra RETARDED! So knowing how every man's brain works..BIGGER is always better (NOT) i decided to throw put it out there...instead of one giant-ass tree..why not get 2 normal sized tree...well well well...this girl knows how to work it and got my wish! Love my two normal trees!!

For the love of MIKE..I have just been crazy crazy busy...anyway here i am with the NYC post! We went in to shop...see the tree (umm NIGHTMARE...if there is one thing i cannot stand, it's people breathing on me) Oh ICK! The crowd was ridiculous..who really gives a fra..ya know you see one giant overgrown decorated tree you've seen them all...anyhow we got the hell out of there and headed for a bar!

I tried Blue Moon beer...my new found love...it is soooooooooooooooooo good! Needless to say..i got my drink/drunk on pretty quickly as again i didnt eat all day! I think it's a prerequesite to gettin your drunk on :) I did make up for it with an OBSENE amount of diner food later in the evening! Here are some pics

My Grandma

I can't believe i have not posted about her earlier...she was such a huge part of my life and who i am today! A strong tiny Italian woman and so so very wise! Anyhow this one's for you grandma I love you :)

Christmas is right around the corner and with Christmas comes DECORATING! WOOT! This girl loves to decorate! So im going to share my 2 fav ever ornaments for my tree..they get front and center every year...see my grandma made them for me...I cherish them. I lost the iceskates when we moved here.....can i say DEVASTATION really loud! I Was without them for about 3 years until 2 Christmases ago..I made a wish (im not even kidding) and well well well...I found them in the storage box...so you know what...BELIEVE..believe in wishes come true! It does happen but im sure you need to have faith and believe...Im making another wish this year...one of those money can't buy things :)

The Perfect Boot!

I am sooooooooooooooo picky when it comes to shoes...it has to have at least a 3" heel because im fricken a dwarf and definitely a sharp pointed toe...I like to wear jeans so an ankle boot is my favorite when it comes to which boot for jean wearin days. I searched and searched...I found the most HORRIFIC boots i've ever seen in my search...

I CAN'T EVEN!! My God! I don't understand!!

This was very upsetting as my thought was the trends are evolving into a style i cannot adapt too..WTF will i do???? See i also am not one o those woman who can justify spending $1000 on a pair of boots when i have 2 kids who suck me dry with their wants :)...sure i like a fine shoe but i can be just as satisfied with a decent shoe:) So after an hour of searching...this girl found THE PERFECT BOOT for me

Eating Raw

FOR THE LOVE OF MIKE!!!!!!!!!! Eating this way is borderline torture IMO! I ate raw yesterday..was trying to detox myself in time for Thanksgiving! I followed this website Ann Wigmore Chart for Raw & Living Foods greensmoothie.com

anyhow, physically i feel really good after doing it...im sportin the sz 2's with room today which is a plus! I don't think i could live like this but i certainly can implement a few days a month into my routine...here's what i ate...

my food intake consisted of uncooked veggies and fruit! I did go ahead and drink my coffee, tea and vodka as im not into sadism *giggle* I do draw the line with my beverages...don't fuck with the girls drink man!

So now im all ready set go with room in the jeans for TURKEY DAY! Woot! Happy Thanksgiving friends..don't eat your turkey RAW...just sayin ;)(does anyone actually really even eat the turkey??!?)

The Avacado Post

OK..brace yourself...this is gonna be a long one! Today i had this for lunch

1 whole avacado and one tomato. Recently i have become obsessed with the avacado..it's a veggie right! I can eat it and be careless about it! OH NO NO NO...did you realize the sucken thing has 325 (OH MY GOD) calories?????????????????????? JESUS MARY & JOSEPH! I mean really! Im super sensitive as to what i put in my body...I workout 5 days a week and to learn this thing has been what im working out for made me sick...vegetables should not be so dense in calories..Im pissed off about it! But I guess overall it's a good fat..just eat in moderation. *sigh* i loved my avacado for lunch dammit..Oh well...im gonna have to replace it with the Jesus veggie (the cucumber) I know those are light in calories.

So thinking about this made me think..will i ever be satisfied with my "body image" and the answer is NO....I don't think i ever will....I could wear a sz zero and still see all the flaws, the wrinkles, the imperfections, the grey fucking hairs (hate them). Why do we do this to ourselves? I bet if you put 100 thin women in a room at least 99 of them would say they needed to lose 5 pounds. ACK! See im rambling...do men look at us and see that? Do they look at themselves and feel that? Hmmm...questions i have questions.

So i am on a mission for the next month to every single day look in that awful mirror and find one damn good thing EVERYday and embrace the good.

What the hell is wrong with me..im not even funny today....BLECH! It's the PMS..I get very thinkative..lol @ thinkative...i like it..i proclaim it a new word!

Awesome quality prints and services! Of course you need a program like paint shop pro to design said card or hire a card designer..bu AWESOME..Im happy and early for once!

I think it's time you meet my entire family, I've posted several times about Stinkybelle, my neweset fury kid but never about the other two loves of my life!

He we have Tigger Hassett...OMG she is such a mushy one but so so shy...she runs from any little noise..this pic was so hard to get..she thinks im gonna hurt her i think when i point the badass camera her way

Tigger is 15 years old..I've had her since she was a kitten:)

Here is my fat cat Chloe "seat" kinda said like mamasita LMAO (ok don't ask me how in the hell these cats get get their nicknames, they just do and they stick) So anyway Choleseat (she NO CHAIR...SHE SEAT)*crying* (excuse me..i just had to insert her full nickname) she has a weight problem as you will see in the pic below! She is my high maintanance diva cat but i adore her so i shall put up with it! She is a diabetic which requires me to give her 2 shots of insulin a day with her meals.

She likes to play dead next to me here while im on the computer!

And lastly we have the Stinkybelle...i believe you already met :) Stinkybelle gets her name from her massive diarrhea she gifted me with when we brought her home from the vet...I AM DEFINITELY NUTS..but hey, im not boring..that i know!

She is a doll and i just could not be without her.

The SKINNY....

on the skinny jean. Ok a few days ago i blogged about cooking in the LOB (leave on boot) and got horrid truth when seeing this pic

I believe i said i looked like an elephant here. Truth is..i do not like how this look makes me look..it makes me heavy. It goes to show you that you need to dress your body in clothing that accents your body the best! First off im 5.3.5 and have boobies and the butt to go with it! Im ok with being curvy..I embrace it...but i do not embrace not feeling comfortable in my clothing.

So now fast foward to today...found a pair of jeans in my closet i had folded up on my shelf...they were a bit snug on me so in the pile of non wearables they went....I tried them on and WOOT..they fit...(this is why i workout...moments like these...make it worthwhile) so here they are

a huge difference...Why am i posting this? NOT TO BE ANNOYING...to show you how the right fit and jean style can change how you feel! It's not about the size tag...it's about how the clothing makes you feel. I feel sexy today...i try and feel sexy EVERYDAY...how YOU perceive yourself really matters! Do i like that my size tag says this today?

Hell yeah i do...does it matter what your tag says? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY NOT! What matters is how your clothes make you feel...GO GET YOUR SEXY RIGHT FIT JEAN ON! WOOT!(yes i know...total blatant excitement about the 2...ON runs big lol)

AH! The Gala apple! Besides watermelon this fruit is hands down THE SHIT! I love me some Gala apple! It's not all mushy like a red delicious *gag* or tiny like a macintosh..it is JUST RIGHT! Some facts about said perfect apple: Royal Gala Apples

I am BEYOND excited! I found the perfect accesory for me to FB with this winter! I am always freezing my ass off..I swear i walk around the house in a scarf and mittens..Im abnormally cold all the time! Forget it, I cant even wear 3/4 sleeved shirts in the winter..who am i fricken kidding...i can't wear them now! BRRRRR!!!!!!! Ok so i had this bad idea that i would look stylish in a hat..ROFLMFAOPIMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should have seen this big head in a hat..truly hilarious..I may get the guts to share here...one night after drinking just maybe but for now...I SHALL NOT! I CAN actually cook....there are some things i can manage to actually make with burning :) So yesterday i was in the mood to cook up a storm...so cook i did! Here i am washing the spinach..omg i love spinach...yum yum yum i tell ya!

I do look deranged in this shot but i wanted onewith ME in it so you know i did the cooking..and this is what i got..WHATEVER!

So i made some spinach roll thing..it was really damn good

Just slap your ingredients onto one of those dough in a pop can things and roll it all up...I use Part Skim cheese to save on fat & Calories but you can do whatever you please :)

did you realize the CUCUMBER is like the wonder veggie of all time! Now i do enjoy me some cucumber but i never knew how darn awesome this veggie really is!

I poached this info off my friend Kimmie's FB page..thanks lady..so usefull i felt compelled to blog about it :)

This information was in The New York Times several weeks ago as part of their "Spotlight on the Home" series that highlighted creative and fanciful ways to solve common problems.

OK back on track :) so Skyler wanted something special and being the artsy person i am..I whipped her up a bracelet...CAN I SHOUT OH JOY! I was so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She went thru a a no accesory stage last year and it nearly killed me..I LIVE FOR THE ACCESORY!

I have been in a hell of a funk the last few days....MISERABLE..I don't know, maybe it's the weather or maybe something else that has ruffled my thong but today i was on a mission...to find my happy place...and INDEED i did! After a long day consisting of painting, cleaning, laundry facebooking, working out, ebaying and blogging....let's not forget getting 2 kids off to school and brought to their afterschool activities, cooking and more cleaning...this chick is fra fra tired! So join me and let's unwind together! Here's how i do it when not gettin my drink on!

Gotta have the popcorn! I love me some popcorn...BUT..I do it without any guilt and it's DELICIOUS!

OK..here's my secret...use 94% fat free micro popcorn..Pop Secret makes it or even Target's Market Place brand has it...now i know it tastes like cardboard...here's the trick...get out a can of cooking spray..preferably butter flavored...spray the crap outta that shit and VIOLA..you've got buttery popcorn without adding all that fat...and then add some sea salt..LOVE the sea salt and it's a healthier sodium option and tastes much better than table salt! YUM!

Next you need a clean dim lit house..and kids tucked into bed...this is really important as if they are awake it tends to KILL the mood:)

My house in in the midst of construction AS ALWAYS so don't mind my half done kitchen island!!!

And then the BESTEST part!!! Sit your ass down with a blanket...some of you will say..Tammy, why not a SNUGGIE...Ya know, i just don't get those things..LMAO! But who am i to judge, a nice chunky cableknit throw works just fine for me!

Well...mine is brown...that's right, shit brown...WHY you might ask??? Brown is UPS...UPS is well besides being nice on the eyeballs, he brings me things.I loves gettin' things :)I just got the most fab vintage style keys. I have an odd obsession with all things vintage (very ironic considering we built our house...shoulda restored an old craftsman..oh well not the only huge mistake i've made) so back to keys...i could not wait to hang them...so i lined them all up in order

OK after being crippled for a few weeks from that NASTY ASS SHRED and a summer of irregular exercise to say the least..I gained 6 pounds...and was actually up quite a bit from my lowest weight..I was in sz 2's and 4's...all of a sudden im wearing a freakin 6..I know that's still OK BUT..next comes the 8 then the double digits..I REFUSE to go there..I just WILL NOT..so back on track i am...and it is amazing what eating healthy and regular exercise can do for your waistline :) I am excited to say..BYE BYE 6 pounds :) Just after 13 days of being back on track my clothing is loose again..ahhhhhhhhhhhh...it's a lovely feeling. So join me...Get Your Workout on!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!

Have you ever had a tee shirt or in my case lounge pants that you just LOVE to pieces and wore the shit out of literally but could not bring yourself to part with them...even though they were long DONE??? Over the weekend we went to one of our favorite places to hang...Sexix Creek Inn. First of all, it is the next block over so we can both really get our drink on without worry! Last Sat we met up with some friends to see BAM (Bangers & Mash) play! They are rockin...if you like Irish Celtic music you must put them on your list to see!

A good time was had by all...even stopped off at the diner before going home...something i haven't done in YEARS! So bad for you really, but ya know i was good..I got soup..so proud of my damn self! You know i really wanted French fries w/mozzerella cheese and brown gravy! DAMN!

So i visited my sister's new house and she painted her dining room the most yummy brown...and that was it..I needed that color in my kitchen..the back wall as an accent wall! Sooooooo I decide this on Saturday night and decided to just lay this on my husband Sunday morning...fast foward to Sunday morning about 9am...coffee is made by me...figured this was a plus for me, good morning sweetie (lol) this is so not me...i have to chuckle here! OK anyway...here it goes, can you paint the kitchen...TODAY? His response "NO, NOT A CHANCE" well guess who won this battle???!!! That's right..ME! HA!

I mean REALLY..my $8000 that goes directly to the effin school every darn year is not enough? They have the balls to ask for school supplies for my kids (which is fine) but they mostly are asking for OFFICE supplies for the school and that does indeed ruffle my thong..I do however love our teachers..ACK..Im getting off track, anyhow..I had purchased said school supplies off list one (we get to shop twice) and always the sharpened gazillion pencils are on there...so off to sharpen them and here is what i found....

the platic angel there it was a gift to me by Skyler....it says im sentimental...love that little platic angel because my girl was so proud to give it to me! The ring is my favorite ring i own..it says Believe on it...this word is my favorite and has carried me through some really ruff spots in my life (corny i know) WHATEVER..it is what it is! The nailclipper is well...just gross! Reminds me to put it away..this is my husband's doing...i go to a salon to get my nails taken care of..yup im a brat too:)The coins in the milk bottles says im disorganized..yup! The plants..two alive and then the dead grass...im gonna say this is my wild crazy side that believes in NEVER giving up...that dead grass may just come back! I hear it goes dormant ya know in the winter! And lastly the large old fashioned milk bottles...well they mean friendship to me. My good friend sent them over to me after i was talking about buying some because im obsessed with "old" things.... so there you have it!!! So we went in to the city last Friday and stayed over night! The hotel was frafra FABULOUS!!! We stayed at The Hotel on Rivington

The view was amazing!!!

These pics i swiped...I've got more to come once i get the pics i shall share..ok so back on track...the hotel was fab! Customer service was incredible!

So we drove in, in the pouring rain...checked in and off to dinner. We ate at a small charming Italian restaraunt...outside is an older woman just grabing her customers right off the street...we couldn't resist her so in we went!

Of course i did not eat enough..i had some appetizers and lots of wine!!!! This prooved to be a big mistake later in the evening (i never learn this lesson for some reason)

From here we went to a bar (Sullivan Hall) to hear The Border Cops play

Of course they rocked it again...always love seeing them!

And well let me just say...the bartender here was...how can i put this..."Cute as a Button"OMG..just ADORABLE and YOUNG..25 yrs old! WOOOOOOOOO!!! Needless to say we hung by the bar most of the time in here...which also was a mistake...FREE SHOTS+VERY LITTLE FOOD all day=Sick Tammy :)

Ok moving along (this is a long entry eh!)We left there and this is where the night turns UGLY..ya know ugly fun! We went into some underground club..all i can say is that people are FUCKED UP..WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Some CRAZY shit in these places..OH MY HELL...we got the hell out of there and decided to stay ABOVE GROUND!

Hit another bar and sealed my miserable fate with 2 giant Jello Shots.

All in all it was a great time! Love the city..but i think people are kinda weird there! I mean there were some strange sightings...i wanna know...who in their right mind...walks briskly down a city street at midnight eating spaghetti out of a tin?????? It was all over him..i had no choice but to ask him..How's your spaghetti dude? With that he answered matter of factly..."it's very good, would ya like some?"

I graduated HS with this job, 2 colleges as well and got married! 11 years i was there. Unfortunately it seems they are migrating to my once WT free beach. So this i dedicate to them. Rules of the beach:

1. Do not park your ass right ontop of another beach goers blanket...most people generally like at least a few feet of clearance to move about..ya know like go to the potty and such.

2. Please..And I say this very seriously...do not permit your child to dig a gigantic gaping hole 3 inches behind a sleeping sunbathers beach chair...one could fall in said hole and hurt oneself and worse off look like a fricken FOOL! Ya know..some of us sunbathers rotate our chair with the sun *sigh*

3. Please...Please..Please wear your flip flops when using the restroom...Ugh..the germs in there..I can't even...Im appalled im even discussing this..it just grosses me out!

4. Do not spread your towel out over someones elses spot..ya know like lay it down over other peoples sand toys and then lay on them like a DIPSHIT and act like you didn't realize it..the shovel was basically up your ass sweetie..UGH!

5 . If you are gonna sit straight up infront of someone...do makesure your crack is covered..enough said on that!

6. And finally...don't be such a fool to think you can build a sand wall around yourself to keep the tide off you...it really doesn't work..but it does give the person behind you a hell of a laugh as the wave crashes over it and your ass is sitting in water...FRA FRA FRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what i am and im sooooooooooooooooooo loving it! Nothin at all wrong with crispiness! I was milky for so damn long it's not even fra fra funny! Seeing how i am all caught up on work i am going to get even more crispy tomorrow as long as the sun shows up for the party...which im really hoping it does...i could use a nice relaxing day at the beach...and maybe even a mudslide too!

that's my current thought of the day! Don't get me wrong..I love my badass Canon Rebel but it's kind of big to carry around. We went into the city (NYC for those of my reader friends that don't know me personally) with our favorite neighbors and friends over the weekend and had a fabulous time! I haven't been on the LIRR in many years..not too much has changed on there except the bathrom was just absolutely APPALLING..I had to pee because..well...I had been over hydrating myself as usual and let me just say..I opted to suffer instead...I had bleach the bottoms of my shoes from just the 5 seconds of stepping into that disgusting bathroom..BLECH! Anyhow..let me get back on track here..I need a tiny pink camera so I can photograph trips like these. We went in for dinner...we wound up going to a small cute little diner called Sullivan Diner...I told myself i would eat that night to enshure I would not throw up my liquids..I wish i had eaten something teribly unhealthy but I couldn't do it and got some basil wrap that made me sick LMAO!! Anyway..the night was still fab..we also saw The Border Cops (a HS/FB friends Band) play at Sullivan Hall and they rocked it...was a great night..next time i'll have the little pink camera so i can post pics along with my blog post! I will leave you with this..NYC is the best...Love love love it there!

Oh...what can I say? When I crave food it's almost always watermelon or chocolate. My all time favorites. I've been known to eat an entire watermelon...I did this 8 months preggers with Skyler and I swear to God..I thought I was going to die...I could not move for hours LMAO!!!!! I like to eat fruit and veggies in enormous quantity..fra..I need to eat it normally as Im always making myself sick from it!

Now chocolate...that's just pure endulgment...this I try and avoid at all costs because I literally feel it attaching to my ass and thighs...but none the less..after 87 days of rain a girl needs her chocolate. Oh and why you ask is she blogging about this???? See above...87 days of rain...im losing my mind! With more rain...comes more blog posts...more FBing and more insanity along with more chocolate!

that's what I may become if this weather continues to suck ass. Im trapped inside with nothing better to do than blog...clean...Facebook(i've been told im a FB whore as well LMAO)and Ebay. ACK...so anyway..im getting off track as usual...today's entry...STINKYBELLE. What a cutie pie this cat is. About a year ago we took her in. She was a stray who found her way to my back door and im such a sucker for a pathetic cat with no home.

Oh and take notice to that hot slipper chair..FREAKIN LOVE IT lol..could not leave here without givin it a shout out..you already know im crazy...OK again back to the cat.

THE MOTOR SCOOTER

OK...so my kids slept over my parents last weekend...it was wonderful. Got to go see an old friend's band play at Senix Creek Inn and they were rockin! When my parents dropped my kids off the next day...all my son could talk about was THE MOTOR SCOOTER. OH MY HELL...It was an unbearable night & morning..."when is pop poppop getting here with my scooter" "I wanna ride my scooter right now" "can you wake me up at 5 oclock in the morning to ride my scooter" "WHY do I have to go to school?" ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You see..my wonderful parents, and i say that without any sarcasm..they really are the best...they saw his big blue eyes get huge when he saw his cousins motor scooter so poppoppop promised to buy him one...and by 12 noon the following day there my dad was..red MOTOR SCOOTER in hand!

How fra fra funny is this kid...he was up..7am..zipping around the block..BEFORE SCHOOL...PIMFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im sure my neighbors are LOVIN me!
